Sepak takraw is Malaysia’s game - once played in every kampung, known by every generation. For many of us it has faded into the background: recognized, but no linger felt.
BALIK ASAL - “return to the origin” - takes you back to where the game began, then brings you to where it lives now; a live heritage event at Unifi Arena KL,2027.
ATUK
Penang, the 1960s. On a kampung court, a young man keeps a rattan ball going. Feet, knees, head.
That young man is Atuk.
Sixty years later, he stands on another court, showing his grandson the same kick he learned as a boy. One family. One game. Passed down, not written down.
